Franklin
Mood manager
Franklin joined Algorithma straight from the park, where his standout skills – tail wags, belly flops, and an unshakable sense of joy – caught the right kind of attention. It didn't take long before the team realized he had a natural talent for boosting morale, reminding people to take breaks, and ensuring everyone felt a little more at ease. That's how he found his calling as Mood Manager, a role he takes very seriously (especially when it involves greeting people at the door or patrolling the snack zones). While Franklin doesn't write code (yet), he has a keen interest in pattern recognition, particularly when it comes to treat schedules or the sound of a lunch bag rustling. He's a strong supporter of smart technology that helps people spend more time on what matters, like ear scratches and spontaneous coffee walks. AI, he believes, should make work better for humans, and when humans are happier, they build better things. > "AI helps humans make smarter decisions, and I'm all for anything that helps them spend more time doing the important stuff… like giving me ear scratches." > > — Franklin, Mood manager One of Franklin's proudest achievements was diffusing a tense meeting by simply lying on his back with his paws in the air. He's also maintained a perfect track record in daily morale-boosting KPIs and is the unofficial champion of hallway zoomies. Whether it's making someone smile after a long meeting or gently nudging a laptop closed to suggest a break, Franklin's impact is always felt in subtle but meaningful ways. Staying curious is second nature for Franklin. He listens in on team stand-ups, sniffs out what's new in everyone's bags, and never misses an opportunity to learn from his environment. His strategy for continuous learning is simple: stay present, stay playful, and always investigate where the snacks are hidden. Franklin's work aligns perfectly with Algorithma's values—collaboration, innovation, and care. His presence fosters connection and lightness, creating a workplace where people feel grounded and supported. He reminds everyone that sometimes, the best ideas come during a walk, and that a wagging tail is a good sign things are on the right track. When he's off-duty, Franklin enjoys long walks, squeaky toys, strategic napping, and acting as a part-time squirrel patrol officer. He also moonlights as a professional couch warmer and has a growing fan base among office visitors. Looking ahead, Franklin has big dreams. One day, he hopes to co-author a paper on canine-assisted machine learning. But for now, his focus is clear: keep tails wagging, morale high, and gently push for the inclusion of "mandatory pet cuddles" in the HR handbook.
